 This steamship was built in 1952 and was named “Hakön Jarl” it was used as a post boat at the coasts of Norway. Almost five years ago the ship moved from Oslo to Antwerpen and began a new life as Hotel – Restaurant. After a complete renovation in 1997 and redecoration 'Hotel Diamond Princess' opened its doors. Do not expect large rooms, but modest functional bedrooms with television, minibar and a small private bathroom with shower and toilet. On request there is an internet connection available. Some cabins have been combined for a more luxurious feeling and more space. Food & beverage Breakfast buffet available during the week from 7:00 until 10:00, during the weekend from 8:00 hrs until 11:00. Area information De Diamond Princess is located in the 'Bonapartedok' also known as the 'island' of Antwerp. At walking distance (10-15 minutes) from the city centre where you will find art, culture, architectural buildings, and even more important, a large choice in cafés, restaurants and many different stores.
