Chiny is a municipality located in the Belgium|Belgian province of Luxembourg (province of Belgium)|Luxembourg and the Gaume region. On January 1st, 2006 Chiny had a total population of 5,013. The total area is 113.69 square kilometre|km² which gives a population density of 44 inhabitants per km².
Chiny is located in the south of the French language|French-speaking region. The municipality is on the boundary between the region of Gaume and the Ardennes.
