Arcangues (commune of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques Département in France|département, in southwestern France in what was formerly the province of Labourd.
Home to the Marquis d'Arcangues, his Chateau d'Arcangues was used as the Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington|Duke of Wellington's headquarters during the December 1813 Battles of the Nive in the Peninsular War. During the German occupation of France in World War II, the Nazis used the chateau as headquarters for its local troops.
