Hermannsburg, located in the Celle (district)|Celle district of the Germany|German state of Lower Saxony, is home to 8,500 inhabitants. It is located about 15 km east of Bergen, Lower Saxony|Bergen and 30 km north of Celle at the River Örtze.

Hermannsburg was founded by Hermann Billung, after whom it has been named. Pastor founded the Hermannsburger Mission here, which is still active today in countries overseas.

Besides the main town exist the districts Baven, Beckedorf, Bonstorf, Oldendorf (Hermannsburg)|Oldendorf and Weesen (Hermannsburg)|Weesen.
