 Located in the historical centre of Naples, the Caravaggio Hotel occupies part of a 17th century noble building. This is an ideal starting point for visiting the city and its surroundings and is close to the public transport.The Caravaggio Hotel has been restored according to the most modern standards, whilst respecting its former style. We are located just off Via dei Tribunali, the main road running through the most ancient part of the city. Nearby you will find many historical monuments, including an underground theatre that has Greek and Roman links. The hotel reception and hall share the same precious flooring as the square outside to maintain consistency. The hotel rooms offer every comfort in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Some also have a whirlpool shower or bath. Other hotel facilities include a large breakfast hall, american bar, reading room, meeting room (for up to 30 guests), broadcasting and a small business office fully equipped with a fax, telephone and photocopier. At the back of the Duomo, just a few meters from the National Archaeological Museum, from Greek-Roman city’s underground, Conservatory of San Pietro a Maiella, Sansevero Chapel, where is set the Sammartino’ sculptural masterpiece the “Veiled Christ” and from San Gregorio Armeno the characteristic street where can admire all year long the craftsman’s works of nativity scenes for Christmas and buy outstanding presents. Hotel represents a certain point of reference, both for business and leisure customers. Piazza Garibaldi, with the Railway Station and the Circumvesuviana train for Sorrento, Pompeii, and Herculaneum is at 600 m. The highways and the ring-road are at 700 m. Travel information From Naples Capodichino airport: by taxi: We are only 3 km away from Naples Capodichino Airport. BY BUS: 1) The ALIBUS departs from just outside the airport and goes directly to Piazza Garibaldi station without stopping. Tickets can be bought on board. 2) The 3S local bus also departs from outside the airport. This bus costs less (1 Euro from Tabacchi and is valid for 1.5 hours on all forms of city transport), but does make more stops. FROM PIAZZA GARIBALDI CENTRAL TRAIN STATION: If you arrive by train or have taken one of the buses to Piazza Garibaldi, you can either walk to the hotel or take bus CS, which departs from near the Garibaldi Statue in the square. This will take you to Via Duomo - get off at the second Via Duomo stop, then before the Duomo of San Gennaro (cathedral), turn left onto Via Tribunali. Continue for a short way down this street and you will see our hotel on the left. We are in the little Piazza Riario Sforza, with the beautiful Spire of San Gennaro at the back of the Duomo.
