Food & beverage
Restaurant 1563, named after the year the hotel was built, with its fine oak panelled walls and a roaring log fire in the winter, offers elegant and informal dining. Local seafood dishes are a speciality together with traditional Sunday roast lunches. For a lighter bite, try the bar. All dishes are freshly prepared using the best in local produce.

Vegetarian dishes are available as are special dietary dishes by prior arrangement.

A wide range of specially selected wines from local brewers Adnams.
Non-smoking restaurant, seating for 80 guests.
Dress code: smart-casual (no shorts).

During the Aldeburgh Festival and the August proms at Snape Maltings, the hotel can provide pre-concert meals or late suppers. Delicious picnic hampers can also be arranged during the August proms.

By Car:
- Take the A12.
- Exit at Saxmundham.
- Join the A1094.
- Continue for approximately 8 km along the seafront.
