Furthermore, Newton-on-Ayr Railway Station is only a 2 minute walk from Failte (Newton-on-Ayr- Railway Station is a also a link Station for Prestwick Airport). Ayr town centre is a 15 minute walk away from the B&B; here you can enjoy plenty of restaurants, pubs and shops. There is also an abundance of family attractions and outdoor sports facilities. Ayrshire is world famous for its golf courses and it boasts 3 Open Championship courses: The Ailsa at Turnberry; Prestwick; and Royal Troon. It was recently announced that The Open Championship will return to Ayrshire at Turnberry in 2009.
