Deanshanger: Guide

Deanshanger is a small village in the parish of Passenham located in the southernmost part of Northamptonshire, just north of Milton Keynes. Whilst not the original population centre of the parish, from the early 1800s the coming of the canal made it an agricultural industrial centre causing it to grow quickly. From the 1820s the main industry in the village was an iron foundry and later an iron oxide works. However, not too long ago, the oxide works was demolished. It has now been replaced by houses.
