You are welcome to bring your pets, who will be well catered for. Simply advise the hotel in advance and they will be happy to provide dog food, feeding bowls and a blanket/bed for your dog (additional cost). Special dog diets are also catered for. The hotel requests that the dogs do not sleep on the bed, are well behaved and do not disturb other guests.

The centre of Eastbourne houses shops, restaurants, theatres and a host of other attractions. Eastbourne also marks the start of the South Downs and the 100 mile-long South Downs Way, a popular route for walking, cycling and bird-watching. Beachy Head, the highest chalk sea cliff in Britain, is also nearby, whilst beyond Beachy Head is the Seven Sisters country park, an ideal destination for nature lovers.

There are also many charming Sussex villages a short drive or bus ride away such as Alfriston, Wilmington and East Dean. Other attractions include Michelham Priory, Pevensey Castle, Newhaven Fort, Hastings and Lewes.

By Car:
- Take the M25.
- Join the M23 towards Brighton.
- Just before Brighton take the A27 going east, signposted Lewes/Worthing. - Follow the A27 towards Lewes and carry straight on to Eastbourne.
- As you approach Eastbourne, follow the signs to the seafront.
- When you get to the seafront continue towards the Pier.
- The hotel is just before you reach the Queen´s Hotel and the pier.


By Train:
Eastbourne train station is a 10-minute walk or short taxi ride away. If walking:
- Follow signs down Terminus Road to the seafront.
- Turn left towards the pier.
- Carry on past Queen´s Hotel.
- The hotel is a few doors down on Marine Parade.

Bus number 27 from Brighton stops outside the pier, less than 1 minute´s walk away.

Parking:
Public parking is available nearby. There is a pay & display on the seafront opposite the front entrance, or in permit bays in surrounding streets. The Royal can supply parking permits for permit bays during restricted hours. There is also an NCP multi-storey car park in Trinity Place, about five minutes away.
