The Kenilworth Hotel has been run by the same family for 17 years. We pride ourselves on personal, friendly service and are proud of our large group of regular customers.

The Restaurant El Castano adds an Iberian element to the city. All residents enjoy a 10% discount off their meal at all times.

Refurbished in 2006, all the rooms are decorated to a high standard. All have large double windows which create a light and airy atmosphere.

We have a dedicated and friendly team who take pride in the hotel's standard of cleanliness.

A short walk from the hotel is the commercial area of Jesmond, with a local supermarket and pharmacy. The city and Metrocentre offer some of the best shopping in the country. The Metro Centre is signposted all the way from the hotel and is around a 20 minute drive.

In the new Quayside development, you will find the Baltic Art Gallery (free entry) and stunning Millennium Bridge. City centre attractions include the Theatre Royal and Northern Stage.

By Metro:
- The nearest metro station is West Jesmond, a 5 minute walk away.
- From there, you can reach the city centre in around 5 minutes for only 1.70 GBP.

By Train:
- From central station, a taxi will cost about 5 GBP.
- Alternatively you can take the metro to West Jesmond station.

By Bus:
- There are regular bus links right outside the hotel, offering access to all parts of the city, including the airport, with an all-day pass that costs 2.90 GBP.

By Taxi:
- The hotel has access to a reliable local taxi firm with special rates for our customers. A standard rate to the city centre is around 4 GBP before 23:00.

By Car:
- The hotel is right on the A1058 (Coast Road) and A167 (City Radial Road), allowing access to the M1, Tynemouth and Whitley Bay coastal areas. - From the A167, you can access the airport in around 20 minutes journey.

Parking:
- There is free parking at the hotel.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 7 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged 100 % of the room stay per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.
