Polmont is easily accessible by train from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Falkirk. Regular bus services to and from Falkirk regularly run through the region.

Get around

Polmont is small enough to walk around.

Remnants of the Antonine Wall still stand in the region.

Polmont has numerous pleasant bars. The golf course is available to visitors, as is the artificial ski slope and reservoir for fishing. Polmont is a an enjoyable place to have a simple walk around, particularly the woodland.

The Claremont and Blackbull bars offer a good selection of food.

The Claremont is the most obvious place to drink, however is undergoing unsure ownership. The Whyteside or Blackbull are also welcoming options.

There are three hotels, the most classy of these being the Inchyra Grange. All three are based in the northern section of the region, so you will have quite a walk to the train station.
