Travel information By Car (from the M6 motorway): - Leave the M6 motorway at junction 36 and follow the signs for Windermere (the road is dual carriageway for most of the way). - As you enter Windermere, you will pass the Windermere Hotel on the right (raised on the hillside). Do not turn left into Windermere village, but continue on the main road, passing the NatWest Bank and a row of shops on the left-hand side. - Continue on past the next turning on your left (Elleray Road), and take the next turning on the left, which is Phoenix Way. - The Hideaway At Windermere is on the right-hand side. By Train: Transfer from mainline trains at Oxenholme train station, where you will find direct trains to Windermere. Taxis are generally readily available at Windermere train station, or alternatively, the Hideaway At Windermere is approximately 10 minutes’ walk from the station. Important information Restaurant reservations cannot be guaranteed for guests. The restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
The Hideaway At Windermere operates a strict non-smoking policy in all rooms, bathrooms and public areas. If evidence of smoking is found, you will be asked to vacate your room immediately and a minimum charge of GBP 200 will be issued on or after your departure. The payment will be taken immediately on the card details you used to make the booking to cover all additional cleaning and dry cleaning costs. Bookings for 3 rooms or more cannot be accepted. |
